Home Grown PC Warranty

  • All new systems and hardware upgrades come with AT LEAST a one year warranty on HARDWARE and the labor to fix or replace those parts.

    • Some parts, such as the processor, hard drive, and monitor will have a 3 year warranty on the parts, but the warranty on the labor to replace them will still be only one year unless an additional labor warranty is purchased from Home Grown PC Repair (See below for additional labor warranties).

    • Home Grown PC Repair is not responsible for any lost information or files in the event of a hard drive failure.  I will reinstall Windows and any other software originally on the PC free of charge if the labor warranty is still in effect.  Any additional software that you installed will not be replaced without an additional labor charge.  This applies to Home Grown PC's only.

    • The warranty is effective from the date of PURCHASE for one calendar year.

  • Warranty on the hardware is provided by the manufacturer, and the labor warranty is provided by Home Grown PC Repair.

  • This warranty does not cover software related problems, or problems caused by abuse, negligence, accidents, or "acts of God."

    • A high quality surge protector is highly recommended, and I can help you find one if desired.

  • This warranty does not cover spy-ware, ad-ware, viruses, or other problems caused by hackers or malicious software.

  • If you choose to buy your own parts, any parts which do not carry at least a one year manufacturer's warranty will not be covered by Home Grown PC Repair's labor warranty.

  • It is highly recommended that you backup any important files regularly to either a CD, DVD, or external hard drive.  If your hard drive fails, you may not be able to recover anything that hasn't been backed up.  If you need help setting this up, I can help you find hardware and software needed to do this.

  • Problems beyond hardware failure will be charged the normal hourly labor rate. (Please see the 'RATES' page.)

2 Year Labor Warranty

  • This warranty can be purchased for new systems or for individual upgrades.

  • Price depends on the value of the service or parts purchased.

  • This warranty covers the labor necessary to fix or replace failed hardware for one (1) additional year from the standard warranty.

  • This warranty does not extend the manufacturer's warranty on the hardware, only the labor warranty to replace or repair the hardware.

  • The same terms and conditions apply to this warranty as the one year warranty above.

3 Year Labor Warranty

  • This warranty can be purchased for new systems or for individual upgrades.
  • Price depends on the value of the service or parts purchased.
  • This warranty covers the labor necessary to repair or replace failed hardware for two (2) additional years from the standard warranty.
  • This warranty is subject to the same terms and conditions as the warranties listed above.
