Virus and Spyware Removal
There are several myths about viruses and spyware that need to be addressed:
1. I can't get a virus because I have
antivirus software on my computer.
-First, antivirus software must be kept up-to-date.
-You should update your software at least once a week.
-Second, you should run a full scan at least once a month.
2. I can't have spyware because I have an
antispyware program.
-This one couldn't be further from the truth.
-There is no one antispyware program
that will catch everything.
-In fact, some programs that you
download from the internet actually put more spyware on your PC.
-Many programs lead you to believe that you only need their
software, but this isn't true.
3. I have to pay to get a good antivirus or
antispyware program.
-Actually, there are several very good antivirus and
antispyware programs that are absolutely free.
-If you use a few of the free antispyware programs, they will
work better than any one program you pay for.
-The free antivirus programs will protect you just as well as
the more expensive ones.
-The only difference is that you may
not get some more convenient features.
-In fact, many of the free programs
use less resources from your computer, allowing it to run faster.
Viruses and spyware have become one of the biggest problems with today's computers. Not only do they pose a risk to your privacy and security, they can also make your computer unusable because of errors or just by slowing your computer down. Over the past several years, I have worked very hard to keep up to date with the latest threats and how to remove them safely.
